Susan Ann Paschal was born in Seoul, South Korea on April 12th, 1954, where she lived until she was about five years old. Her father, Bernard Schillberg, had met her mother Soon Ae while serving as an Army Sergeant in Korea. After returning from Korea, Susan grew up with her three sisters (Joann, Agnes and Helen) in Austin, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at and received her degree as an RN. In 1975 she married her high school sweetheart Paul Paschall and they began their lives living in Galveston while he completed his medical degree at the Univ. of Texas. After graduating, they moved to Jacksonville, Tennessee, where they were blessed with four beautiful children, Katie, Michael, Soon Ae and Kristin. In 1992 the Paschall family moved to Hayden Lake, Idaho and started a new chapter in their lives. Susan homeschooled their four children, more than a full-time job. In addition she In 2002, Susan and her four children were all chrismated into the Orthodox Church at St. John the Baptist in Post Falls. On May 10, 2004, Susan passed away at home surrounded by her family and her pastor. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Paul; four children, Katie (18), Michael (17), Soon Ae (15), and Kristen (12); her mother, Soon Ae Schillberg of Austin), three sisters, Joann Jackson (of Austin, TX), Agnes Neusch (Burnett, TX), and Helen Beavers (Kerrville, TX), their husbands and 10 nephews and nieces.
